Dubai’s Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) has opened the Sheikh Saeed bin Khalifa bin Saeed Al Maktoum Mosque in Al Quoz Residential 4.
The mosque was built by Sheikha Rafeea bin Omair in the Fatimi style, which draws on Abbasid architecture with Byzantine and Coptic influences.
The capacity of its inner prayer hall is 260. The outer hall can hold 34 and the women’s room 25. IACAD is responsible for the care and supervision of mosques in Dubai and has specific procedures for their construction and maintenance.
