DUBAI// The new flyover connecting Al Quoz industrial area to Al Khail road will open on Saturday the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced.
This is the second stage of development on the Al Khail road project which costs Dh850 million. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2013.
"The Al Khail road development project is one of the most important strategic projects the RTA is currently implementing," said Nabeel Mohammed Saleh, Director of Roads department at the RTA. "The RTA is committed to improving the emirate's infrastructure by ensuring a safe and convenient road network in our efforts to widen Dubai's traffic threshold," he said.
He added that the flyover was part of the RTA's efforts to improve Dubai's road network and will greatly improve the flow of traffic between Al Quoz and Al Khail road. "All the safety aspects of the flyover have been completed, especially the road lighting, to better serve our commuters," he said.
