ABU DHABI // The National Bank of Abu Dhabi experienced an interruption to its services on Thursday, leaving customers unable to use their debit and credit cards.
“NBAD sincerely apologises for the interruption of services experienced by some customers earlier today,” said an NBAD spokesman. “The matter is now resolved and all services are restored. “NBAD also wishes to confirm that no accounts were at risk at any time.”
People took to Twitter to express their frustration, saying they had not been able to make payments, withdraw money from ATMs, use the bank’s mobile application or reach the bank’s support number.
NBAD apologised to its customers for the inconvenience, adding: “We are sending messages confirming that services are now restored.”
Customers in need of further assistance can contact the bank’s hotline 600 56 6223.
