ABU DHABI // A man broke into a villa, stripped naked and got into bed with the homeowner who he mistakenly thought was the maid, the Criminal Court has heard.
The Bangladeshi sneaked into the home through a living room window, took off his clothes and tried to find the maid.
He found a woman sleeping in a bedroom and, when he discovered she was not the maid, tried to rape her, the court was told
On Thursday, he confessed to entering the house and removing his clothes to have sex out of wedlock with the maid.
He denied trying to rape the woman, saying he got into her bed by mistake.
The homeowner, however, said the defendant covered her mouth with his hand and started to tear off her clothes.
A verdict will be announced on October 27.
