The Ministry of Health is to launch mobile clinics that will provide healthcare services to the elderly who live in remote areas in their own homes.
Priority will be given to those unable to go to the hospital because of their health situation and to those suffering from disabilities that prevent them from going to the hospital.
Dr Hussein Abdel Rahman Al Rand, assistant undersecretary at the ministry, said that a similar service was operating in Fujairah and would be available in Ras Al Khaimah next year. After this it would be rolled out in other emirates.
