Missing British sailor's pregnant wife to hold vigil in Dubai

The family of a British sailor who has been missing for almost a month flew into Dubai today to hold a weekend vigil for him.

Leading Seaman Timmy MacColl, 27, went missing on Sunday May 27, just after 2am, after exiting a popular Bur Dubai bar.

Mr MacColl's wife, Rachael, who is due to give birth to the couple's third child in October, arrived in the city alongside her uncle, Neil Cunningham, and several other family members.

The candle vigil, to be held tomorrow, at 7pm, will be one of many organised by supporters around the world.

"Just wanted to inform everyone that Rachael, Sheena, Neil, Nigel and Colin have now all arrived safely in Dubai and have checked into their hotel," said one message, on a Facebook page created to drum up support.

"They will be attending the Candle Vigil tomorrow (Friday) so please spread the word as it would be lovely to have a massive turnout."

For those who wish to attend, details of the meeting location are available through at the dedicated facebook page.
