Mirdif City Centre evacuated in early morning drill

The drill was carried out at 8am, two hours before shops were due to open, to show staff how to respond in an emergency.

DUBAI // Workers at Mirdif City Centre were evacuated from the mall on Sunday morning during an emergency drill carried out by Dubai Civil Defence, Dubai Police and Dubai Ambulance.

The drill was staged at 8am - two hours before the mall opened to customers - and all retail partners, contractors and mall management were successfully evacuated.

Mall management said the drill represented their "on-going commitment to mall safety and ensuring the readiness of all personnel in the event of an emergency".
