Men repeatedly drove over friend for 'indiscretion'

Two men kill close friend by repeatedly driving over him after he revealed personal information about them.

RAS AL KHAIMAH // Two men killed a close friend by repeatedly driving over him in their car because he revealed personal information about them, a court has heard.

NA and AA, both Emiratis, said they had planned the murder of their friend, a bidoon aged 34, RAK Police said.

Medical reports showed the victim was repeatedly run over, sustaining injuries to the feet and torso, including fractured ribs.

Police said NA, 28, told them he and AA, 37, found the victim drunk and asleep at a place where they used to meet and that they had also been drinking alcohol.

A mutual friend found the body on Sunday morning under bushes and told the two Emiratis about it.

Police said the pair feigned surprise and one of them reported the body, which was found on Maaridh beach.

The arrests were made within 24 hours, said Brig Gen Abdullah Khamis.

Human blood, hair and skin was found on the car of one of the two men, and the bumper was dented.

The case has been referred to Public Prosecution.
