Three Manchester City footballers have launched construction of a luxury apartment scheme, in Manchester, that belongs to an investment property company with offices in Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah.

England international James Milner and French World Cup aces Eliaquim Mangala and Bacary Sagna broke ground on the 17-storey CitySuites apartment block, from Select Property Group.

“With its global supporter base and on field successes, MCFC helps promote Manchester to a worldwide audience on a weekly basis,” said Trevor Moore, the CEO of Select Property Group.

“Manchester’s appeal similarly transfers to the business world, with the region an important European enterprise location. This has seen more international businesses and organisations locate to the city to benefit from a strong economy, fantastic transport links and a rich, vibrant culture.”

One of the sportsmen, Milner, said: “It’s great to be here with Select Property Group to help start work on the CitySuites development.

“The plans look amazing and I’m sure it will prove to be an incredibly popular and important building in Manchester.”
