ABU DHABI // A man who lost his wife in a motorcycle crash has requested a lighter sentence from the Appeals Court.
The European was driving the motocycle with his wife, who was sitting behind him, when they struck an oncoming vehicle, killing the woman.
The man was ordered to pay his wife’s heirs Dh100,000 in blood money and Dh10,000 in traffic fines.
The verdict will be announced on October 19.
