DUBAI // A man threatened to kill his former boss, cut him into pieces and scatter the parts across the desert.
The Pakistani ex-employee, 35, called the man several times and threatened to cause him and his family injury. His Indian former boss, 39, had filed a bounced cheque report against him to police.
“The calls started in November 2011 and continued until June 2012,” said the development manager, explaining that the caller did not reveal his identity.
“He said that I should drop the report I made with the police or he would stalk me and my family members then kill me.
“He also said that he would have his brother and other men on my tail to kill me and cut my body into pieces.”
The manager’s wife said the Pakistani worked for them between 2007 and 2009, although she did not say whether he was fired or resigned.
But she said they still had the dishonoured cheques that the defendant had issued to them.
It was not clear why it took four years for the case to reach court.
In the Dubai Criminal Court on Sunday, the defendant was found guilty of issuing death threats and sentenced to three months in jail.
