DUBAI // A man who was accused of molesting his British friend because he wanted to see what she looked like when she gets angry was found not guilty of sexual assault by Dubai Criminal Court on Wednesday.
Emirati HA, 32, had denied the charge relating to tourist SH, 23, in court last month.
The woman had told prosecutors that she was with the defendant in his Porsche at about 8pm on September 4 last year when they headed to Uptown Mirdif together.
She said he then told her he would really want to see how she looks when she is angry. “I told him to try to get me angry,” said S H, who then lent forward to get something from her bag at her feet.
She said that at this point her Emirati friend squeezed her left breast hard and she screamed.
“He told me he was just trying to get me to be upset and I told him that this is not the right way to do it,” said the Briton.
“I asked him to drop me off where we were but the area was remote and no taxis were near, so he drove me to my residence in Al Barsha and, when I got out, I called police and reported him.”
However, the court ruled that the man was not guilty.
