DUBAI// A man who arranged for a female work colleague to visit his house to pick up some documents pulled the woman into his room and tried to sexually assault her, a court heard.
Dubai Criminal Court was told that Indian A F, 29, had arranged with his compatriot P P, 33, to come to his residence on October 27 last year.
“He sent me a text message asking me to come, so I went with two other colleagues and when I got there I stood at his door but he insisted I come in. I refused so he pulled me from my hand inside,” said the woman in records.
P P was seated on the floor and started crying as she felt something bad was going to happen. When A F touched her she screamed for help from her colleagues.
“We rushed upstairs to his room and heard her screaming and asking him not to touch her. We knocked on the door and when he opened up he was topless while P P was in a state of fear with her shirt in disorder. Her face and neck were red,” testified S D, 30, an Indian.
Prosecutors said that A F confessed to sexually assaulting the woman when she came to his house. However, in court the defendant denied the sexual assault charge and said that he merely pushed the woman.
A verdict is expected on March 21.
