Lead role for Emirati women

The Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the General Women's Union, to increase cooperation in raising political awareness among Emirati women.
The MoU was signed by Tariq Hilal Lootah, undersecretary of ministry of state for Federal National Council Affairs, and Noura Khalifa Al Suwaidi, director general of the General Women's Union.
The two organisations will work together to implement various activities such as research studies, conferences, and training programmes on political participation.
The MoU is aimed at consolidating the efforts to empower Emirati women to take the lead in the society.
