Khalifa welcomes Karzai

ABU DHABI // Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, yesterday hosted an iftar banquet in honour of the Afghan leader, Hamid Karzai, at Al Bateen Palace. During the gathering, the Afghan president urged the UAE to continue its support of his country to boost its economic development and promote investment and trade, the Afghan Embassy said in a statement.
