The Khalifa Foundation is sponsoring a Ramadan food assistance programme for the Rohingya refugees in Malaysia under the supervision of the UAE Embassy there. An iftar banquet was held for 500 people.
UAE Ambassador to Malaysia Abdullah Mattar Al Mazrouie said the foundation had provided humanitarian assistance last April for 4,000 Rohingya families in Malaysia.
Tan Sri Syed Hamid Albar, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation’s (OIC’s) special representative on Rohingya Muslims of Myanmar, thanked the UAE and the Khalifa Foundation for their humanitarian assistance.
