Islamic affairs charity aids underprivileged students in Dubai

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has donated Dh300,000 to underprivileged students for tuition fees.

Ahmed Al Mansouri, director general of the Dubai Education Zone, thanked the department for the aid, which he said was a relief for students and their families financially and psychologically.

The funds come from zakat and charity given by the community through various donation channels.

Jumaa Al Falasi, chief executive of the charitable work sector, said going forward the department and the education zone will coordinate to help underprivileged students and their familes.
