Dubai Municipality has conducted an inspection campaign to stop illegal peddlers at evening markets in Jebel Ali Industrial Area.
Twenty-six people were stopped and referred to the competent security authorities at the Directorate of Residency and Foreigners’ Affairs.
Two tonnes of waste and food unfit for human consumption was confiscated and destroyed, Faisal Al Badawi, director of corporate marketing and relations at Dubai Municipality, told Al Ittihad, the Arabic-language sister paper of The National.
