NEW DELHI // With the Delhi government's CNG-driven (compact natural gas) auto rickshaws failing to reduce the city's pollution, industry leaders such as Ratan Tata have suggested a solution: hydrogen cars.
A report in the Financial Times says one million of the green cars could be on the roads of India's capital by 2020. The CNG initiative followed a UN ranking of New Delhi as one of the five most polluted cities in the world.
According to an estimate, Delhi has five million vehicles, while more than 1,000 are added to its roads each day.
