UAE leaders and dignitaries took part in prayers across the country on Tuesday to mark the start of Eid Al Adha.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, was joined by Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed for prayers at Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Mosque in Zabeel.

In Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, performed Eid prayers at Sultan bin Zayed the First Mosque in Al Bateen. Sheikh Abdulrahman Al Shamsi delivered the sermon and spoke about the significance of the occasion, prophet Ibrahim's values and the moral lessons of Eid Al Adha.

Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid, Ruler of Ajman, led Eid prayers at Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Mosque.

Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, prayed at Eid Grand Musalla in Khuzam along with senior officials, dignitaries, and members of the public.

Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, prayed at Sheikh Zayed Mosque. He prayed for good health for President Sheikh Khalifa and the rulers of the emirates.

Fujairah's Ruler, Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, prayed at Grand Sheikh Zayed Mosque.

Each of the rulers then exchanged greetings with well-wishers at their respective palaces.

On Monday, UAE leaders shared Eid greetings with each other and sent best wishes to King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, King Mohammed VI of Morocco, King Abdullah II of Jordan and President Abdel Fattah El Sisi of Egypt.
