A Indian child battling cancer achieved his dreams after enjoying a royal appointment with the Crown Prince of Dubai.

Abdullah Hussain, from Hyderabad in southern India, issued a social media plea for a meeting with Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed.

The request was granted on Friday when the seven-year-old, wearing a traditional kandoura, and his younger brother were introduced to his hero.

“Sheikh Hamdan is so cool, adventurous and so kind,” the youngster said in a short video on Instagram.

“I want to meet his pets and I want to see his dresses.”

Abdullah made the video while carrying a banner that read: “I am your fan Sheikh Hamdan. I want to meet you. I love Fazza.”

The boy’s story had featured in a news report in his home country and won the hearts of many on social media.

His family was then invited to visit Dubai when Sheikh Hamdan posted a picture of him hugging Abdullah and writing: "Met this courageous boy today."
