Noor Dubai Foundation organises mobile eye camp in Philippines

The foundation provided diagnostic and therapeutic eye services to 3,500 patients, including 171 surgeries and distributed 550 pairs of spectacles.

More than 3,000 people attended a therapeutic mobile eye camp to prevent blindness in the Philippines.

The camp was organised by the Noor Dubai Foundation and was held from November 27 to December 8 in Lanao del Sur province.

The foundation provided diagnostic and therapeutic eye services to 3,500 patients, including 171 surgeries and distributed 550 pairs of spectacles.

Essa Al Maidoor, chairman of the Noor Dubai Foundation, said: “The foundation seeks to reach out to all of those in need around the world and provide free eye treatment.”

This is the foundation’s first mobile eye camp in the Philippines. The camp was supported by Dubai Islamic Humanitarian Foundation and Dubai Police.
