DUBAI // A new Arabic mobile app, Tummyfish, to encourage children to drink more water and make it fun has been launched by Dubai Health Authority as part of Innovation Week 2016.
Humaid Al Qatami, director general of DHA, said that health promotion and disease prevention is an important pillar of the authority.
“We are particularly focused on health education for children and the youth,” he said. “Using smart apps to educate children about health practices is an innovative approach.”
Dr Waffa Ayesh, director of the Clinical Nutrition Department at DHA, said: “The Tummyfish app is a great tool to help parents make drinking water more fun for kids, a habit that is an important contributor to a healthy and balanced diet.”
