Hospitals handed over last year by the Ministry of Public Works to the Ministry of Health and expected to open in 2011:

- Masafi Hospital in Fujairah, 42 beds Cost: Dh50million

- Al Qassimi Cardiology Surgery Building in Sharjah, 15 beds

Cost: Dh29.4 million

-Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Gynaecology and Obstetrics Hospital in Ajman, 176 beds

Cost: Dh200 million

Hospital close to being handed over by the Ministry of Public Works in 2011:

- Umm al Qaiwain Khalifa Hospital, 200 beds. Cost: Dh500 million

Hospitals under construction in 2011 to be delivered at a later date:

- Al Qassimi Gynaecology and Paediatrics Hospital in Sharjah, 200 beds Cost: Dh500 million

- Emergency ward expansion in Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah [included in the Dh500 million listed above]

- Masfoot Hospital in Ajman, 30 beds Cost: Dh70 million

- Abdullah bin Omran Hospital in Ras al Khaimah, 75 beds

Cost: Dh80 million

- Sheikh Khalifa specialised hospital in Ras al Khaimah, 248 to 400 beds

Cost: Dh600 million

Hospital being designed:

- Amal Psychiatry Hospital in Dubai, 200 beds. Cost: Dh600 million
