More than 1,000 women had the opportunity to join group workout classes as part of a six-hour training session organised by Nike+ Training Club, N+TC, on Friday during the club’s tour of Dubai.
The training, held in Southridge Park in downtown Dubai, was designed to push the limits of those participating and help them meet their training goals.“The level of energy that I saw in Dubai tonight is absolutely amazing. The N+TC Tour in Dubai brought the diversity and energy of this vibrant city very much to life tonight,” said Sonja Moses, a Nike Global Master Trainer who has been leading the N+TC Tour across the globe.
The attendees from around the region were led through the opening workout by Nike Master trainers Ms Moses, Marie Purvis, Flor Beckmann and Alex Hipwell. The training session continued with breakout sessions including high-intensity interval training, yoga, fusion dance and strength training.
While unable to participate in N+TC Tour Dubai due to tournament schedule, Fatma Al Nabhani, a professional Omani tennis player, said: “I am so proud to see more than 1,000 women of all fitness levels embracing the rising culture of sport at N+TC Tour Dubai. It was really inspiring to seeing them going for their own personal best and leaving their comfort zone to become better and stronger.”
Participants could explore a specially dedicated women’s fitness section that featured “braid bars”, nail art, nutritional advice and recovery massages. A Nike shop was also set up at the event. In the weeks leading up to N+TC Tour Dubai, athletes could train with the N+TC Series taking place in different locations around, Dubai including Address Downtown, Media One Hotel, Manzil and The Four Seasons. These sessions were delivered by Nike Trainers and covered the four main categories of N+TC, which are Get Lean, Get Toned, Get Strong and Get Focused.
