SHARJAH // The Dh300 million Al Sharq Hospital in Fujairah was officially opened by the emirate’s ruler on Sunday.

Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi inaugurated the hospital, which is equipped with 5 operating rooms, 5 intensive care beds, X-ray and CT scan machines and a trauma centre.

“The hospital is set to raise the bar of healthcare services provided in Fujairah, the east coast and the UAE in general,” said Sheikh Saleh bin Al Sharqi, chairman of Fujairah National Group which runs the hospital. “We have equipped the hospital with some of the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic technologies in the world.”
