The UAE recorded 390 coronavirus cases on Sunday, bringing its total to 67,007.

A further 80 patients were given the all-clear as the overall recovery total climbed to 58,488.

Three patients died after contracting the virus, raising the death toll in the Emirates to 375.

The infections were identified as a result of an additional 71,216 tests.

Close to 6.5 million tests have been conducted as part of a mass screening strategy adopted across the country.

The latest daily case figures are down 34 from the number of infections reported on Saturday.

Infection rates have steadily risen over the past week - from only 210 last Sunday 16 to 461 on Thursday - with officials urging the public to take extra care to help avoid a continued surge in numbers.
