Clinics for elderly to start at every primary health centre in Dubai

A mobile rehabilitation service will also be added and it will use a customised bus with the required technology to treat elderly patients.

DUBAI // Dedicated geriatric clinics are to be introduced in every primary health centre in the emirate, said Dubai Health Authority.

In addition, there are plans to expand the number of special clinics for treating conditions such as osteoporosis.

A mobile rehabilitation service will be added soon and it will use a customised bus with the required technology to treat elderly patients.

Essa Al Maidoor, director general of the DHA, made the announcement at the inauguration of the first Mena Geriatric Summit at the Mohammed bin Rashid Academic Medical Centre at Dubai Healthcare City on Thursday.
