ABU DHABI // Sheikha Fatimah bint Mubarak congratulated staff and bosses at Corniche Hospital on providing 30 years of maternity care and delivering more than 200,000 babies.
“Without your efforts, we could not have achieved the high standards of healthcare for mothers and children that we now enjoy,” Shiekha Fatimah said.
Sheikha Fatimah highlighted these standards were reflected in UAE’s low figures for death in childbirth and infant mortality.
“Our continuing efforts to build a developed, safe and secure society depend on the health of our present and future generations. That, in turn, depends on the health of our new mothers and our new children,” she said.
The hospital now handles a quarter of all deliveries in the emirate.
