RAS AL KHAIMAH// The Ministry of Public Works has announced it is to begin urgent maintenance work on 13 houses in the Al Thayt area that were damaged in last week’s rains.
The ministry said that works will begin on Sunday in some of the houses to allow people to move back in quickly.
Landlords asked for their homes be included in the nationwide programme, which aims to replace old houses with new ones.
Engineer Zahra Al Aboodi, undersecretary at the ministry, said that technicians visited damaged houses across Ras Al Khaimah to register the severity of damage.
