The British Duke of York has implored the global energy community to continue investing in human capital.
Prince Andrew made the point during a speech yesterday at the second day of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference, which ends tomorrow.
“I know Abu Dhabi is just as passionate about investing in its young people, as we are in the UK. It is these young people who will take up the challenges of meeting our future energy requirements,” said the Duke, who spoke in detail about the UAE and UK’s relationship in the oil and gas field.
“I am positive that the discussions you have here at Adipec will focus on the importance of encouraging young people in the region and elsewhere, to help meet the energy needs of the 21st century.”
Prince Andrew also took the opportunity to talk about the growing importance of platforms for discussions on energy.
