ABU DHABI // The Emirates Foundation for Youth Development is opening two new offices in the Northern Emirates in the next few months.

“We’ve always had activities in the Northern Emirates,” said Clare Woodcraft-Scott, chief executive of Emirates Foundation. “However, the issue was that these activities were not as intensive as in Abu Dhabi because we didn’t have an office.”

The foundation has had a positive impact on the lives of ten of thousands of youth between the ages of 15 and 35 with its Takatof, Sanid and Think Science programmes.

In spite of that, “still lots of people are not clear on the role of Emirates Foundation” said Ms Woodcraft-Scott,.

“We want people to understand that we create and drive systemic change. It’s not just about running programmes - it’s about creating long-term sustainable positive impact on young people’s lives.

“As a young person in the UAE, you have a one-stop shop where you can get the support for personal and professional development. We help young people navigate the complexities of the 21st century.”
