UAE public sector to receive four-day weekend for Eid Al Adha

ABU DHABI // Public sector employees will receive an extended weekend for Eid Al Adha.

The holiday begins on October 3 and ends the following Monday, the state news agency Wam reported.

Those working for private companies will have October 5 off, returning to work the following day.

Hussain Al Hammadi, Minister of Education and Director General of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, issued a circular today announcing the holiday for federal ministries and departments.

The authority also congratulated President Sheikh Khalifa and other officials on the eve of the religious occasion.
