The UAE Embassy in Madrid is continuing to implement its Ramadan iftar project.
The annual tradition, which the embassy had first announced on June 9, involves providing food aid to Muslim families and mosques in cities across Spain, according to Wam, the state news agency.
The iftar project is sponsored by the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation and Al Maktoum Charity Foundation.
The Khalifa Foundation also continues to deliver aid in Ireland at refugee centres, benefitting more than 400 people. Mohammed Al Shamsi, acting charge d’affaires at the embassy, distributed the Ramadan food parcels.
