Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has sent Dh100 million in humanitarian aid to Yemen.
After a decree from President Sheikh Khalifa, Sheikh Mohammed, also Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, allocated the funds to the Yemeni government’s Higher Committee for Relief.
The committee had been announced on Monday under the chairmanship of the country’s vice president.
The committee on Monday identified a list of urgent requirements to support Yemeni citizens in the stricken cities of Aden, Taez and Dalea.
The UAE’s donation was part of its policy to assist its brothers and sisters in Yemen, especially in its current crisis.
