DUBAI // The Ministry of Education warned against circulating negative videos online that could affect the school environment and potentially lead to legal action.
The terse message was posted on the ministry’s Twitter account, @moeducationuae, after a video showing a student being assaulted by his peer recently went viral. The ministry said the attack was not recent and the perpetrator had been penalised according to the student code of conduct.
The ministry tweeted that mutual respect between students is the backbone of a stable school community and that measures will be taken to ensure such behaviours are prevented in the future. It also reminding the public that publishing such content online is punishable by law.
