The UAE is keen on establishing closer ties of cooperation with Macedonia, Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Minister of International Cooperation and Development, has said.
She met with Nikola Gruevski, Macedonia’s prime minister, to discuss ways to strengthen relations and development opportunities between the countries.
Sheikha Lubna said that ties between the UAE and Macedonia date back to more than 15 years in various fields, including diplomatic representation, trade exchange and international cooperation in various economic, social and political sectors.
Mr Gruevski praised the humanitarian efforts undertaken by the UAE in the world, noting the support given by the leadership to development projects in Macedonia and its impact on the beneficiaries.
