SHARJAH // An “elite” group of 110 Brownies and Girl Guides were honoured Saturday by Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of the Ruler of Sharjah, Chairperson of the Sharjah Council for Family Affairs and Patron of the Sharjah Girl Guides.

The girls, aged seven to 15 years, were decorated for their participation in art, health and sports workshops and activities as part of the SGG Badging System.

“I am proud of their insistence on pursuing education and working on developing their personalities and life skills through training courses and workshops organised by SGG,” Sheikha Jawaher said during the first badge ceremony, held at the headquarters of Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah in Al Qarayen. “Honouring this elite group of girls is honouring the nation.”
