Support and words of condolence have been offered to the family of the latest Arab coalition soldier to fall during Operation Restoring Hope in Yemen.
Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, visited the family of Sultan Mohammed Ali Al Ketbi to offer her personal sorrow at the nation’s loss.
During her visit to the mourning majlis at his residence in Al Dhaid in Sharjah, Sheikha Fatima expressed her heartfelt solace and prayed to God to rest deceased soul in Paradise, as well as to grant patience and solace to those he has left behind.
The Saudi led military operation aims to support legitimacy and restore peace in Yemen, and is being supported by Emirati troops who Sheikha Fatima described as role models with a “deep sense of duty”.
On Saturday, pro-government forces made their first advance into Sanaa province on as fighting with Houthi rebels continued, despite a ceasefire declared following peace talks in Switzerland.
