DUBAI // Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, visited the hugely popular Global Village on Monday.

He toured pavilions belonging to the 75 participant countries, in addition to supporting UAE institutions, reported state news agency Wam.

During his visit, Sheikh Mohammed visited the pavilions of Kuwait, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Egypt, and China, which display folklore and the national identities of the countries, such as art, clothing and national products.

He was accompanied by Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, director general of Dubai’s Department of Protocol and Hospitality.

The tour concluded with a visit to the Fazza Championship for Yola and with an exit through the renowned global gate.

Sheikh Mohammed expressed his happiness at visiting the attraction, and stressed the UAE “will continue to be the world’s gateway that will never shut down for visitors, tourists and investors, residents, brothers, or friends,” reported Wam.
