Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, met Saudi minister of foreign affairs, Adel Al Jubeir, in Abu Dhabi.
The meeting, at Al Shatti Palace, underlined the importance of achieving success in the nations’ joint efforts to support the legitimate government of Yemen and assure security and stability for the Yemeni people, state news agency Wam reported.
Sheikh Mohammed expressed his deep conviction of the central role of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of King Salman in the region.
He also voiced his firm belief in Saudi Arabia as a cornerstone that would enable the Arab region to overcome instability.
“This is the kind of solidarity which we are always seeking to achieve and aspiring to consolidate,” Sheikh Mohammed said. “The Saudi leadership’s reading of the developments in the region is the same as ours and we can – through joint action with Riyadh and others – achieve a lot in terms of stability, development and prosperity.”
