The landmark event, now in its 35th year, is being held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre until Friday.

Dr Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of State and chief executive of Adnoc Group, briefed Sheikh Mohammed on offshore operations and the latest advances in oil production.

Sheikh Mohammed visited the pavilions of a number of companies, including Adnoc, BP and Total.

He was accompanied by Sheikh Saif bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Mohammed Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future, Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Industry and other senior officials.
