Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed holds talks with US Treasury Secretary

Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces met Steven Mnuchin at Sea Palace

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed discussed collaboration against the financing of terrorism during talks with the US Treasury Secretary, Steven Mnuchin, in Abu Dhabi.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces met Mr Mnuchin at the Sea Palace on Thursday as part of the secretary's visit to the Middle East.

Mr Mnuchin, who was appointed to the Cabinet by US President Donald Trump in 2017, attended the Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Wednesday.

Sheikh Mohamed and Mr Mnuchin discussed how the nations could work in tandem to disrupt sources helping to fund terrorist threats.

The two men also reviewed ties between the US and the UAE and how they could be developed, particularly across trade and investment.

The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed, the National Security adviser; Ali Al Shamsi, deputy secretary-general of the Supreme National Security Council; Ali Al Neyadi, Federal Customs Authority chairman; Khaldoon Al Mubarak, chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority; and Mohamed Al Mazrouei, undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court.
