ABU DHABI // Leaders of the UAE greeted heads of state across the globe on the occasion of the New Year.
President Sheikh Khalifa sent congratulatory cables to kings, presidents and leaders of friendly nations on the event wishing them and their people good health, prosperity and progress.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, also dispatched similar cables of congratulations on the occasion to world leaders.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid twitter also included his new year’s message saying: “We are on the verge of a new year; a year in which our community will grow in cohesion, unity and remain interconnected; a year in which everyone will care for everyone else; a year in which everybody will think of making a difference in the lives of all.”
