Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed tweeted out a picture of himself with the UAE delegation to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
The Crown Prince of Dubai took the opportunity to thank the delegates for their hard work at the annual summit and "their substantial contribution and positive representation of our country".
The delegation includes Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future, Obaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs and Dr Thani Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, among others.
It is the Crown Prince’s first time participating in the Davos meeting.
In a meeting with Professor Klaus Schwab, the World Economic Forum founder and chief executive, Sheikh Hamdan said enhancing international co-operation and international partnerships was a cornerstone of the UAE's ongoing efforts to deliver the future.
The theme of this year's event at Davos is Globalisation 4.0: Shaping a Global Architecture in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
On Tuesday, the UAE signed a deal to host a research centre of the future in Dubai.
The new research centre will be run by the Dubai Future Foundation, of which Sheikh Hamdan is chairman of the board of trustees. Specialised project teams, including experts from the UAE and the forum’s network, will run pilot programmes in AI and blockchain.

What is the definition of an SME?
SMEs in the UAE are defined by the number of employees, annual turnover and sector. For example, a “small company” in the services industry has six to 50 employees with a turnover of more than Dh2 million up to Dh20m, while in the manufacturing industry the requirements are 10 to 100 employees with a turnover of more than Dh3m up to Dh50m, according to Dubai SME, an agency of the Department of Economic Development.
A “medium-sized company” can either have staff of 51 to 200 employees or 101 to 250 employees, and a turnover less than or equal to Dh200m or Dh250m, again depending on whether the business is in the trading, manufacturing or services sectors.

How do Sim card scams work?
Sim swap frauds are a form of identity theft.
They involve criminals conning mobile phone operators into issuing them with replacement Sim cards by claiming to be the victim, often pretending their phone has been lost or stolen in order to secure a new Sim.
They use the victim's personal details - obtained through criminal methods - to convince such companies of their identity.
The criminal can then access any online service that requires security codes to be sent to a user's mobile phone, such as banking services.

Chris Greaves, the managing director of Hays Gulf Region, says those without a pay rise for an extended period must start asking questions – both of themselves and their employer.
“First, are they happy with that or do they want more?” he says. “Job-seeking is a time-consuming, frustrating and long-winded affair so are they prepared to put themselves through that rigmarole? Before they consider that, they must ask their employer what is happening.”
Most employees bring up pay rise queries at their annual performance appraisal and find out what the company has in store for them from a career perspective.
Those with no formal appraisal system, Mr Greaves says, should ask HR or their line manager for an assessment.
“You want to find out how they value your contribution and where your job could go,” he says. “You’ve got to be brave enough to ask some questions and if you don’t like the answers then you have to develop a strategy or change jobs if you are prepared to go through the job-seeking process.”
For those that do reach the salary negotiation with their current employer, Mr Greaves says there is no point in asking for less than 5 per cent.
“However, this can only really have any chance of success if you can identify where you add value to the business (preferably you can put a monetary value on it), or you can point to a sustained contribution above the call of duty or to other achievements you think your employer will value.”
