Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, met Argentinian President Mauricio Macri in Buenos Aires during his official visit to the South American country. At a meeting, which was also attended by Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers of Argentina Marcos Pena, Mr Macri and Sheikh Abdullah discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and the opportunities to develop co-operation in sectors including political, economic, social, renewable energy and food security. Sheikh Abdullah stressed the strong ties between the UAE and Argentina, and his keenness to strengthen and develop them in all fields. Another attendee at the meeting was the UAE Ambassador to Argentina Saeed Al Zaabi. Sheikh Abdullah met Jorge Faurie, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Argentina, and received a letter from President Macri to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, inviting him to visit Argentina. He also met Emilio Monzo, president of the Argentine Chamber of Deputies.
