ABU DHABI // The nation’s impressive achievements have been set out in the UAE Yearbook.

The country’s efforts to combat trafficking are detailed, as is the role of women in the political, social, and economic areas.

Another section highlights work on human rights.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and the President of the National Media Council, which compiled the book, said the country had made huge strides.

“The UAE has achieved greatly in the past four decades in the economic, political, social, scientific, educational, health, cultural, tourism, and environmental fields, including others,” he added.

“These achievements can be seen through the statistics and indicators covered in this book.”

Sheikh Abdullah said the book showed the growing importance of the UAE at a regional and international level, and in the business world.

“The council is keen to take advantage of networks, such as the internet and digital media, as a publishing medium and effective communication tool to reach the maximum audience,” he added.

The digital version of the book is available in five languages, apart from Arabic.

It can also be downloaded as an app. For a digital version, visit www.uaeyearbook.com.
