Forty staff at the Emergency and Public Safety Department of Abu Dhabi Police have completed a high-rise and mountainous rope rescue training.

The training was conducted in Al Ain’s Jebel Hafeet and on top of Abu Dhabi’s 160 metre-high Hyatt Capital Gate.

Col Mohammed Ibrahim Al Ameri, head of the EPSD, said the team had completed a specialised course in high-rise rope rescue using advanced equipment that conforms to international standards.

Col Al Ameri added that the training, which included rope ascent and descent exercises and pulling out the injured from highrise buildings, was in line with the Abu Dhabi police strategy to improve performance and provide the public with the best services.
