ABU DHABI // Public service projects including parks and walkways are planned for Azzaab and Al Manaseer areas in Abu Dhabi.
At a forum on Tuesday, Abu Dhabi City Municipality announced the plans, which also include a playground and five bus stops to improve transport in the areas around schools and neighbourhoods.
A new mosque will also be constructed in the area, which already has 18 mosques, the municipality said.
Residents showed support for the projects at the forum but said they need more services, the municipality said.
Residents suggested more attention to smaller residential roads and fewer commercial pathways. They also asked that the municipality increase the maximum number of floors allowed in their homes.
A representative from the municipality said it is keen to implement their requests quickly and improve services in the community.
The projects are expected to be completed by the end of next year.
