More than 1,500 prisoners across the country have been granted early release by the UAE's Rulers in celebration of Eid Al Adha.
On Monday, President Sheikh Khalifa ordered the release of 704 inmates and pledged to settle their financial debts.
On Tuesday, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid pardoned 547 prisoners, of different nationalities, from prisons across the emirate.
Dubai’s Attorney General, Essam Al Humaidan, said the gesture reflected the Vice President and Ruler of Dubai’s desire to give the prisoners a second chance at life.

Mr Al Humaidan said the ruling would be carried out immediately, with prosecutors having begun to co-ordinate the releases with the support of Dubai Police.
Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman, also ordered the release of prisoners ahead of Eid.
The 90 prisoners were selected based on their good conduct and eligibility for release.
Sheikh Humaid expressed his best wishes to the prisoners saying he hopes they will use the opportunity to positively contribute to society, reported Wam.
And in Ras Al Khaimah, Ruler Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi pardoned 272 inmates and pledged to settle their financial obligations.
Every year ahead of religious holidays, the President and Rulers of the emirates pardon prisoners and order their debts to be settled.

French business
France has organised a delegation of leading businesses to travel to Syria. The group was led by French shipping giant CMA CGM, which struck a 30-year contract in May with the Syrian government to develop and run Latakia port. Also present were water and waste management company Suez, defence multinational Thales, and Ellipse Group, which is currently looking into rehabilitating Syrian hospitals.
